Danny Hooper, the popular
Alberta recording artist and
thirteen-time host and MC of the
Big Valley Jamboree, is thrilled
to be bringing over thirty years
experience as an entertainer to
the Morning Show at CFCW.
"This job is a dream come true!"
says Hooper, who acknowledges he
has some big shoes to fill. "Bev
Monro and Wes Montgomery taught
me more about entertaining than
anyone will ever know!.
Danny's music career officially
began in 1975 as a finalist in
CFCW's first annual Country Star
Search; the trophy he won is
proudly displayed in his home.
He and father Don went on to
open the hugely successful Danny
Hooper's Stockyard in 1979, and
many listeners will remember the
live CFCW Saturday night
broadcasts from the club.
And what's the best thing about
the new job? "Being able to wake
up with Sharon Mallon each
morning yet not having to sleep
with her!", chuckles Hooper.
